Rear discs on '00 FSR Enduro(2 posts)

Rear discs on '00 FSR Endurofsrenduro

Does anyone know of an alternative method for putting disc brakes on the rear of the FSR's without having to use that HEAVY arm that Specialized had before they realized that putting built in tabs was better.

Is there a replacement swing arm assembly that has tabs built into it?
Basically.. no.Brandon

The '00 enduro didn't use the same linkage as the '00 XC. This is significant because the current Rockhopper uses the same linkage as the older XC, and has disc tabs.

The sharkfin works, but not particularly well, I had one till my '00 XC cracked and got replaced with an '02. The alternatives are probably heavier.

If I was to do it again with that frame I'd just put a V-brake on the back, a disc on the front and live with it.
