Hayes break Master Cylinder question???(2 posts)

Hayes break Master Cylinder question???Topher
Nov 20, 2002 6:26 AM
I have a 2002 AC2 and it came with the Hayes Comp hydraulic brakes. I purchased a pair of Razor Rock levers, not realizing that they would not fit the Hayes Comp lever assembly.

I have small hands so I would really like to install the RR levers. What parts do I need to change out to allow the RR levers to fit.

I am assuming that if I replace the master cylinder/brake lever assembly, I should be able to disconnect the hydraulic line and attach it to the new housing, then just add the RR levers.

Anyone have any advise on this and do you know where I can get the parts and part numbers?

Thanks

Chris

Make sure you get the same model year that the Razor Rocks are made for. Razor Rock makes the levers for pre-2000 and 2000-up Hayes brakes. You may want to send your Razor Rocks and your comps + master cylinder to Go-ride and have them install them on your new lever housings. They have a special tool we sold them for installing levers on 2000-up Hayes mag brakes.
