Hydraulic Disc Brakes that MIGHT need bleeding???(1 post)

Hydraulic Disc Brakes that MIGHT need bleeding???Matthew Brett
Mar 22, 2003 10:03 AM
My set of Hope Minis are my first venture into the world of disc brakes. Had no problems with them so far but I'm wondering whether they need bleeding.

My rear brake comes on and locks up the wheel but there still seems to be quite a bit of squeeze left after that and it makes a series of strange clicking sounds as well as the lever is pulled harder.

My front also has some squeeze after the lock up point but to much less of an extent. Is this is what's meant by a mushy feeling lever or what?

Thanks everyone
