| XT disc question | dirtdemon Mar 23, 2003 6:42 PM | | First of all- thanks for all the excellent info regarding disc brakes!I have just installed a set of XT disc brakes. The manual says not to turn the bike upside-down, or else air may get into the system. This makes removing a wheel a biatch. Does anyone have any experience with this? Do I have to re-bleed every time I crash? |

You don't have to worry about this. I regularly turn the bike upside down to change wheels, repair tubes or whatever & I have never had any trouble with air getting into the lines on my XTs.
Also, a friend often travels 100 miles with his bike upside down on the roof of car without problems on his XTs.
