IRD Dual Banger Disc Brakes - Opinions?(3 posts)

IRD Dual Banger Disc Brakes - Opinions?holycromoly

I found a pair of new IRD Dual Banger Disc brakes for $130. Not too shabby for hydraulics.

There are only three reviews on this site for these brakes and wanted to get more feedback before I dove in and get these.

Anyone have practical riding experience with these?

Thx.

to start i havent tried these brakes out myself...but i was wondering about them also so i asked Bill Larson(he sells bike parts...great guy!)and the only thing he said that was kinda bad about them was the calipers were a little big and clunky...but that the stopping power were on par with alot of the disc brakes on the market....the only thing that would worry me is getting replacement parts for them because they arent real big like hope, hayes, magura etc...i dunno!?

yeah i saw these brakes on bill's latest list.

they are a small bunch over at interloc, so it's a concern of mine aswell in terms of getting parts and such in the near or far future.
