Hayes Brake Problem(2 posts)

Hayes Brake ProblemT.J.

I have a set of Hayes Mag hydros and the front brake is not working anything like the rear. When I pull the lever; one it feels mushy and two the lever rebounds real slow, in fact I have to actually push the lever the last little bit. The rear brake doesn't do this at all, it snaps back and doesn't rub or anything. And before anyone tells me to rebleed it I've tried it three times and trust me I got all the air out of there. I think it might be a problem with the master cylinder? Anyone got any other ideas?

It sounds like it could be the master cylinder. Strip the lever down and get a new one.
