| Purple Hayes Adapter? | calee Mar 30, 2003 11:45 AM | | I have a '99 set of Purple Hayes DH, which I used to run on a '99 Boxxer. I've since gone XC and want to mount them to a Fox Forx IS quick release. What is the mount measurement on my old calipers? (I temporarily traded them with a freind for Avids, so I can't measure/compare W/ adapters). Also, if you know the part # adapter I might need for either 6" or 8"? Thanks. |

If you do have the 74mm spacing model (2000 year and onwards) then any LBS can get you the relevant adaptor. There are pics on my site below (click disc brakes, then adaptors).

You could also buy a caliper half to upgrade your caliper to a 74mm , I think Go-Ride.com may have some in stock or I could order one for you for $25. You can get them in black or champagne, I don't know if it will match your caliper color. The adapter you will need once you get the 74mm caliper is 98-15068 for the 6" rotor, there is no listing for a 8" rotor on the Fox Forx.
