For those who want to run Sram or Rapid Fire shifting but want the new XTR disc: I finally found some seperate levers to run with XT set up. I thought I would post the link here in case anyone else was having the same problem locating them.

I guess if I had to do it again, I would opt for the Magura SL.
Where do you see the seperate levers?AndyH

All I see is a 2002 XT disc brake caliper, lever and braided hose for $119.99 (probably front or rear, need two for a full set).

There's no picture. I thought about springing for the caliper and rotor also for the small price difference but I am only interested in the levers so I can run my XTR discs. If you want XT brake set up the one you mention is the best deal.

If you look under brake levers you will see the one I mention for $104 each.
Actually, I think the $104 item you mentioned is for a caliper..AndyH

...rotor and lever, but no hose. $104 each for just the levers is outrageous, IMHO.

you're right. The ad was a little misleading as they had it in the brake lever section. It includes everything but the hose. I did not realize this until my email confirmation followed up by a phone call. I didn't care about the price-I can't find the damn levers anywhere and refuse to use the STI shifting system. Over $500 can be dropped on other light weight set ups anyway. The caliper and rotors will end up on ebay.

Unless you have already purchased the XTR calipers and related items. But if you want to run the XT/XTR disc combo, Bike2Build sells it - good price too.
Nice April Fools Joke...primetime

Got me to look. I am looking for these too. I contacted Speedgoat and they are expecting for these to be available eventually... however, after Shimano has enough time to impose the new shifting on riders. They said it should have been available by end of march though and I still have not heard. I can wait because I still need to get a new wheelset as well. Thanks for the heads up anyways though. I know a lot of others are looking as well.
I have a set of XT disc levers that I will sell..........Tree
