Follow - self adj brakes/brake drag.

| I'm gonna add to that eMTea | JimC. Apr 1, 2003 10:17 AM | | after killing a rock with rear rotor and not being able to get it right, I removed the brake caliper so the wheel/rotor could spin freely.
I found it easier to see (with my failing old eyes) what I was doing and easier to use a crecent wrench to pull the rotor back to true. this may be specific to Gustav as they drag slightly in normal mode, so I was never sure where the pads were holding the rotor, or not.

| Yeah............. | Mike T. Apr 1, 2003 10:27 AM | | ....as the pads, with Gustav, actually touch the rotor by design then there is no gap between pad and rotor to use as a "gauge". Then "my" method would be harder to use.
Good point Jim and I should include that on my Cult pages.
Paul Morningstar of "Morningstar Freehub Buddy" fame markets a dial indicator setup to true discs. This would be perfect for Gus. I have one, it works 100% but it's just very slow to use compared to the Quickie method on my site. |
