| Magura purchase problems | Seb Jul 21, 2003 11:51 AM | | Apparently Magura got if a spat with QPB and decided to start selling all thier stuff "dealer direct". Its taking them some time to get this running, and in the meantime the local shop can get me the parts I need to get my HS33's working tip top. One of the shop techs gave me some bits from his private stash, but I could still use a QR bolt (the one with the hourglas shaped end), a couple of the D shaped spacers, and a couple Brake Booster arches (mine needed modification for my old bike).
Anybody know where I can get this stuff? If need be, I can live with just one brake booster; the other stuff is spare parts. |

| The Truth | Chad W. Jul 24, 2003 7:10 AM | | The truth of the matter is that Magura found that they could better serve the dealers directly when they place orders with expert technical advice and support. When you call a distributor, if you don't know exactly what you need, they don't either, they sell you what you want, that is the bottom line. When you can order direct then you can explain what you are doing and maybe not have to order half as much or you made need something different all together. That is one reason Magura went direct, not because of a tiff. I own a Bike shop (Tuff Nuts in Oak Harbor, WA) and I back their decision |
