K2 Brake Line Holders(4 posts)

K2 Brake Line HoldersGary

I'm interested to know how you attach the hydraulic brake lines along the top tube of the K2 Razorback SL. There are two cups but I can't seem to be able to find the correct clips to make them work. I do not want to use wire ties. I'd rather use the correct part that K2 designed them for. I picked up a bare frame a race event, so I don't have a clue. The local shops here only carry the low end K2 products & they aren't helpful. So far I'm out of luck. Any answers.

I have the 2001 Razorback team and use zip ties to keep my housing (or hydraulic line) in place. That's what you're supposed to use, it's what my Klein used also. The "cups" have holes that are for zip ties to pass through and wrap around the hose. The part you are looking for does not exist, and in my opinion, small black zip ties look plenty trick for me. Just cut off the excess and rotate the zippy part until its tucked under the line guides and out of sight.

Nice try Ryan!
It turns out I had to call K2 Support & they were helpful. It seems that I have gotten an early '03 prototype ( NO holes for zip ties). Anyway they e-mailed me a close up photo of their idea of how to solve the problem. If you're interested Im going to try to upload the photo---Gary
