Avid Mechanical Disc QuestionEric

I have a '02 Trek Fuel 90 & am upgrading to the Avid Mechanical Disc Brakes. The mounting adaptor that came with the brakes, doesn't fit the "Trek Disc-O" frame mount for the rear brake. Do I need an adaptor? If so what size, & where can I get one from? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

..........Trek/Fisher/Klein Disc-O dropout adapter. The Avid disc mount/adapter that comes with the brake bolts to that.

You'll wind up with (in order):
Frame dropout, Disc-0 mount, Avid mount, Avid caliper, plus lots of bolts to hold everything together.

This is the system I have on my '01 Sugar and believe it or not, after it's all clamped up, it works just fine. Unfortunately, since metal isn't weightless, you'll carry the whole mess around with you wherever you ride.

The mounting holes in the left dropout are for Trek's disc mount and then the brake bolts to that.
