I use them on my 6" and 8" Hayes....006_007

I use the Kool Stops on both my bikes, and have been fairly happy with them. They dont seem to bite quite as much as the Hayes pads (more noticable on the 6" than the 8") but for 1/2 the price and the fact that I go through brake pads like crazy up at Whistler I can live with it.

About every 3rd set I get a pair of Hayes for new retainer springs (Kool Stops do not come with springs)

I would suggest to try a pair on the rear, if you like em get another set for the front.....

I use the Kool-Stop's and have been very happy with them. In the wet and dry they work great and at $16 CDN a pair compaired to $40 for Hayes I can put new ones on the front and back for less than a single pair of Hayes.
