I don't believe there is any rotor adaptor out there that adapts the Shimano splined rotor mount to a standard 6-bolt rotor. |

Not sure exactly what you're asking when you talk about a "disc", but I think andy has it right. You have to match the hub to the rotor. Then you mount a brake lever and caliper system. I happen to use the XTR hyrdo levers and calipers. I have a standard hub with XT rotors. You could do the opposite. Build up a wheel with XTR hubs and mount a XTR rotor. It will work fine with the XT levers and calipers currently on the bike. I don't know of an adapter that lets you run XTR hubs with a XT rotor. The XTR hub/rotor are splined. Dunno if aftermarket companies are able to build a splined rotor to match Shimano's specs? |
