Please help! Cracked Hayes moulded shellD&C

Can someone tell me where I can replace my cracked molded shell for my front disc brake. The lever is fine(I think) but the outer shell is not letting me brake effectively.
How much do they cost for one? Also, what is the correct terminology
for that part?

Many thanks

a set of Hayes comps that you are talking about?

I have a set that the master cylinder (could be your cracked molded shell) broke, and I had to replace the master cylinder body.

I took my bike to my local bike shop (where I bought the bike from) and had them replace it for me.

I think it cost @ $80 US

Hey D&C

I posted a reply in the DH/ Freeride section for you. Basically what you broke is called the master cylinder body or master cylinder housing. The aluminum one goes for like $76(however it will NEVER break)!!!! I had the same problem where I broke the stupid plastic housing but all the guts were fine- I ended up just buying a whole new brake and having some extra parts- that was only $115 and I got the new g2 open back caliper as well.
