Hope Mini pads are rubbing rotor...(2 posts)

Hope Mini pads are rubbing rotor...ps3
Jan 2, 2004 2:32 PM
I made the mistake of squeezing my front brake lever without the front wheel in the fork. Now my Hope Mini caliper pads are rubbing the rotor. Is there a quick and easy fix to get enough space between the pads and the rotor? Or do i have to completely disassemble the front brake and bleed the fluid out?
With the pads in place in the caliper, take a flathead...AndyH

...screwdriver and carefully pry the pads apart. Once fully spread apart, put the wheel back on the bike and give the lever a few squeezes. This will reset the proper distance between the pads and the rotor.
