Will Beer contaminate disc pads? (not in FAQ section !)D.F.L.

I have to build a frame with a bottle opener built in and was wondering if there was any issue with malted beverage contaminating disc pads. That whole rear D/O /disk tab area seems an ideal location, but I'd hate to foul up this guy's braking with brew.

And I'd run a test on my own, but the beer keeps diappearing down my throat before I can waste... umm, err...apply any to the disc.

Seriously, any issues?
coat everything with a fine spray of light oil to preventJimC.

the beer from getting all over the rotors and pads.

Beer contains sugar, so it might cause some contamination I guess, making this a sticky situation at best.

.....there is no problem. Canadian beer is whole different ballgame - don't get it anywhere near your braking tackle!

As the anonymous wag once said "Murrican beer is like having sex in a canoe - f*kkin' near water!"

I would be careful not to cut your tounge on the rotor licking the beer off of it!!!
Naaaaaa, should'nt be a problem (but listen to Mike T's advice, American run-of-the-mill beer is to be avoided, only go with the Ale's, Hefenwizen's and import stuff).
MMmmmmmmmmm, beer!! I'll be opening a Full Sail Ale right now!!!!

If you drink cheap beer your pads may get wasted, try to only pour in quality beer this way your pads will last longer.

On a more serious note the beer shouldn't affect any of your braking parts.
No, as long as it's one of those "less filing" ( sp intentional) beers, but...Bikeless Rider
