SRAM 9.0 Disc cable adjustment(1 post)

SRAM 9.0 Disc cable adjustmentPhknlwyr

I just installed SRAM 9.0 disc brakes on my Heckler. They appear to be identical to the Grimeca 8's and the Shimanos. The brake line comes out of the lever housing at a 90 degree angle pointing downwards. I cannot trim the brakelines and the length of the hose is just a bit too long. I believe that if I were to adjust the elbow joint where the line attaches to the lever housing by 90 degrees so that it points straight ahead as opposed to straight down, it can more easily manage the extra hose. QUESTION: can I loosen the elbow joint without compromising the fully bled brakes? Has anyone ever tried this minor adjustment? Any input would be appreciated.
