Magura hydraulic line question(2 posts)

Magura hydraulic line questionGatmo

The hydraulic line of my Louise goes along the underside of my top tube. When I put the bike on my car rack (Saris Bones), the hydraulic line is squeezed between the top tube and the rack, carrying most of the weight of the bike.

Is it ok to do this? Is the line strong enough to withstand this treatment regularly? I want to avoid using zip ties to run the line along the top of the top tube.

I don't think it is a good idea to run it like that on the rack, BUT what you could do is put a piece of foam rubber in between the rack and the line to keep it from getting pinched.
