I purchased a tek 6700 '04. I didnt have enough for the disc opt. at the time. Now that i am ready to upgrade I realize that there is no f$cking disc brake mount on the frame!! I cant believe, call me an idiot that what I am. Anyway with some hope, I have heard about add on mounts. Does anyone have experience with any such product?

Dominic. Give me a call if you want one. I have one of the Brake Therapy ones. Customer ordered it and then changed his mind, so I'm just looking to get rid of it for my cost so it doesn't sit around.

Call Trek (1-800-try-trek) or visit your LBS and they can hook you up with one. It can be used for Kleins, Treks and Fisher bikes. The cost I believe is around $30, much cheaper than Brake Therapy. There are few bike out there these days at that price range that don't have a disc option for the frame. The adapter thing with Trek is pretty lame IMO, but it works the same, just more expensive then having a frame with the tabs machined into the dropout. My Klein has one, and it works just fine.
