Need some chain help for 2 rings?kpb
Sep 4, 2001 9:47 AM
I've been waiting for the evil 2 ring guide but don't think it's going to be available this year. Haven't heard great things about the MRP. I'm running a 24-36 front with a bash ring and I occasionally suck the chain up into the stay, can't figure out why for the life of me. I removed all spacers from the ISIS BB so I've got the best possible chain line, the chain is a brand new PC-68 and I've got it clean and lubed as best as possible. If I could I'd mount one of those Sun anti-chain suck devices but the suspension design won't allow it. Any ideas? Should I wrap some tire tube in their to prevent it from getting up there in the first place? The space is so tight that I had to take the chain apart last time to get it back out and it put a decent gouge in my stay.

Is the "Sun" anti suck that thumb thing that mounts to the seat stay?
I designed a suck proof ring that works very good.
it wont prevent dropping the chain from big ring to small ring while back peddling.
But it does totally prevent chain suck.
what type of bike do you have and what type of cranks and chainrings?
where are you located?
