| Boxxer on a Bullit (anyone using?) | SSMike Sep 4, 2001 4:18 PM | | I realize the 7" on a Bullit/void the warranty issue has been discussed to death a little bit and I apologize for adding to the canon. I was interested in whether anyone is running a 2001 Boxxer or similar fork on their SC Bullit.
I spoke with SC about this today, because there seem to be very few good-quality 6" forks left available since the Boxxer and Super-T moved to 7" travel. They told me that I would be voiding my warranty, but shouldn't worry about shearing/breaking off the headtube as long as I'm inspecting the frame regularly for stress cracks.
I could care less if it cracks and I need a crash replacement on the front triangle, that's no problem. But, for obvious reasons, I'd rather not have the headtube rip off at an inopportune moment and maim or kill me. Anyone running a 7" fork on their Bullit or have experience with others doing this? Any helpful comments would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike |

| Running a 6" Boxxer on mine.... | CraigH Sep 4, 2001 4:36 PM | | and it is a great combination!
I've seen lots of people running 7" and bigger forks on their Bullits and I don't think you'll have a problem.
I've heard the 2002 Bullit is being set up for a 7" fork if you want to wait. |

And at $200 for a new front end, who cares if it cracks (and it wont if your not doing stoopid stuff) |
