Steel steerers on Psylo sl?(5 posts)

Steel steerers on Psylo sl?Garson
Sep 4, 2001 4:20 PM
I went to cambriabike.com and they have them for cheap ($375 w/ shipping) but it says that they have a steel steerer. Does that mean that it's an OEM fork? If so, is there any reason to spend $75 more for an alloy steerer? Thanks.
THAT IS A 2001 OEM! Stay away!Zonic Man

Whatever you do, get the 2002. The 2001 forks have bad bushings.
Not so sure....Garson

They claim that they are 2002s, and unless they just stole a picture, they look like them. I'm probably wrong, but if that's what they say...
dude, that is the XC they are talking about....Zonic Man

Thanks for that info. I'm a moron, as you can probably tell. The new Psylos are pretty damn cool, with the travel adjust and the no canti brake boss feature with the tulio dropouts.
