Risse Trixxy is looking like a smokin deal...?Duncan

A 4/5/6" inverted fork for $399? Damn! 7"
Is it durable for lightweigt FR and smooooth Sport DH on a
5" travel bike for a 185 lber? If so I think it would be a killer
backup/play fork. Best of all Go-Ride sells them (no tax and killer advice) I see it comes with a bub, is Risse still using weird spacing
of could I use my Hope Bulb 20mm? Thanks...anyone had experience with them? I remember when they firsy came out 3 or so years ago they didn't have the best rep for strength.

My friend runs a 2001 wet bath trixxxy, so sweet. It's ultra plush and smooth. He races sport DH on them and comes in top 5. I don't know how much he weighs, but they are really nice.
My question: is 120mm Hub width standard?Duncan

Sorry about all the typos in my previous message!
It sounds like Risse has 'custom' hub spacing.
I am going to recommend these to a couple of friends in
need of light 6" forks for their Bullits (they are not
aggro-urban riders or anything) I am thinking of one for a Cortina
Europa FS.
Thanks for advice

Risses web site has the specs on the hub. I used a 2001 Trixxy for awhile and liked it ok. It's not near the fork that the Champ is but it is an ok fork. I agree with you that is a killer price and would be a great fork on a Bullit.
So you used a Risse hub?Duncan

Thanks for the info, I realize this is not a highend fork ala
the Champ, but seems like good technology at a good price if the riders are 'careful' with it. Do you remember if the disc tabs are IS or Hayes?

So yes I used the Risse hub. Mine was also set-up for 8" hayes when I got it. I think you can get them both ways. Oh, I was not carefull with the fork. I'm 200lbs with out my gear so I'm no lightweight. It held up just fine. I still have it and plan on using it when I build a freeride type bike.
hub FYI........who cares who I am

I've seen guys run standard 20mm hubs, they all made a spacer out of AL. said it worked great. white bros does the same thing but just gives you a spacer instead of a custom hub.
Thanks-nmDuncan
