Gregg,
During the time that I have used the board, I have only had a few problems, which you resolved usually before they could be mentioned. On the ocasions I did request your help you responded kindly and qucikly. Those people who are going on about how you suck and you have ruined the board are probably the same people who have thanked you in the past, but there are some who are angry with you. The thing these people don't notice is the fact that you are not the President of MTBR, nor do you run all of the sites. YOu are simply an employee, a good one at that, but there are higher powers you must answer too, just like the rest of us.
To those of you reading this and thinking I am wrong, how would you have known to get this frame, or that fork? Or where would you have got tips on who had this product in stock and who is the best this or that. Please remember, we are not paying to post here, and Gregg did the right thing taking the add off. He has to get paid too. If you were a sponsered rider and you put a sticker of a competitor, or someone who has not paid to advertise with your sponsor, are you going to leave it on and lose sponsorship? I think not.
Once again thank you Gregg for keeping this site up and running. I know there are a few bugs, like with any other thing, but I will keep coming to the site...
Thank you and fyi, I have called Scott and talked to him...gregg

...we discussed many things and even the future possibility of go-ride advertising on our site. I understand where he is coming from and vice versa. I think a large portion of what's making everyone so mad is that there is no clear definition of what is and what isn't allowed.

We don't like to have to make "rules", but it seems that there may be a need, so that we can define what is and is not allowed in a fair manner. I think it needs to be more than, "yeah, Scott's cool, but bob@bikeparts4cheep isn't" Keeping in mind that, yes, MTBR is now charging for classified ads and cannot allow them in the discussion forums.
