so, i'm looking get myself an early christmas present ;)
the d2 looks really sweet, the shoei looks like it might be overkill (if there is such a thing)... any other helmets i should be aware of? what do you guys think

VFX-r pro circuit is the go(the best helmet available) But if you insist on a lighter(weaker) one, The carbon answer m8 is three pounds.
I think there is another even lighter carbon helmet around. Try other carbon moto helmets. have a geeze at www.motocrossactionmag.com and look for some reviews.

Personally i wouldn't touch a d2 - waaaaaaaay too light.
