this is a good topic. for 2002 both are 7" both are pretty close to the same weight (~7lbs) and both have externally adjustable compression rebound and preload. so it comes down to which has the better damping and which is more durable...
I'm considering the same thingkristian

I suspect the Boxxer will be stiffer due to the larger stanchions and the dedicated 20mm axle, but after 2 seasons on a z1 qr20, both forks will be more than stiff enough for me.

The Super will have a new HSCV cartridge that will help with high speed compression in theory (it sounds kinda like RockShox's Homer Valve), but I haven't been overly happy with Marzocchi's recent damping inovations (compression on the '00 forks and ECC on the '01). The Boxxer's damping is unchanged for the last two years and it works quite well.

I'll probably buy whichever one I can get a better deal on (which will probably be the Zokes). I don't think you can go wrong with either of the forks. Good luck!
boxxer is biggerJm

and same weight. The boxxer should be quite stiffer due to bigger stanchions, and MUCH more overlap than the Super T. On the super Ts side I am sure it is plush and the ajustments good, the 2002 boxxer has a new top crown, but that is the only change, both are good forks but I would go with the boxxer personally for a racing fork because of its stiffness and reliability, and the super T as a freeride fork.

I'd guess that more people are running the Boxxer for FR than the Super T. That might be due to the fact that the Boxxer has been around longer.

i a looking at these two forks also. the boxxer only fits 2.4in tires, but i am sure the super t takes a 2.7. i want a fork to replace my monster t for all around freeriding and i like big tires so i am leaning towards the super t.
I have a 2.7 Intense on the front of my Boxxer.CraigH

2.4" is what RockShox says but a 2.7 Intense fits with no problems.

I've seen Boxxers with 2.8" Michelins. I've fit a 2.6" Gazzy Jr. and a 2.5" Michelin with tons of clearance.

The Super T fits a 2.5" max.

...I can fit a 2.6 Gazz and an Intense 2.7 on my Jr.T no problem.
Yup, 2.6 Gaz fits 01 Jr.T. My brother is running this combo. (nmCraigH
