EVERYTHING is changing at SC. New bikes, old bikes, longer travel, VPP. The Chameleon will have replaceable dropouts like all new SC bikes. I sugesst you go to pinkbike.com and study up.

I got a 2001 chameleon about three months ago. I doubt that anything will change on the chameleon for 2002 but who knows. Since we're at the end of the year you might as well wait if you can. As far as the replaceable drop out thing goes, they already have them. On the drive side you can go with a single speed set up or bolt on the drop out with a derailuer hanger on it. On the non drive side I suggest going with the disc brake drop out option. On my 2001 they even put routing for hydro-hose on the rear triangle. what ever year you choose you can't go wrong! Out of all my bikes the Chameleon is the most fun to ride. The black frame builds up one sexy bike! Have fun
