| Got pics of the Mono DH bike? (nm) | Mej33 Oct 5, 2001 8:05 AM | | nm |
| most likely beginning of december. | Jm Oct 5, 2001 8:12 AM | | the production schedule that I have shoes that they will start producing them at the very end of November(looks like the last 5 days or so). If you got your order in early then by early Dec you might have it, however based on the production schedual they are not even producing them in early and mid November.
Anyhow, that frame looked VERY good, the rep said it was for freeriding AND downhilling, but more of the "weekend" downhill racer as he put it, or someone who is going to ride one frame for DH and freeride. It definatly looks like it can take the abuse, and the curnut option is sweet, although priced out with the floating rear and curnut it gets pretty expensive. |
| most likely beginning of december. | pezzo33 Oct 5, 2001 9:47 AM | | well, production will be November 20th and on, which is november.
forego the curnett shock as of now, as it is being liscenced by someone (hmmm...) and will come down in price, according to foes.
the floating brake on adds $79 at retail, not bad...
will still be a good Dh bike, but not a purpose built like the DHS.
thanks

| Is it just me...... | valve bouncer (Jap) Oct 5, 2001 10:21 AM | | ....or does this frame give anyone else a major stiffy???? Another one to go into the "frames I wanna have" box. Ffuck. |
| trust me, in real life it was 10x better | Jm Oct 5, 2001 11:35 AM | | just so friggin sweet, the mono-coque work around the shock is very impressive, the way the swint link drives the mega-shock, kind of like the CPC patriot in the way it drives the shock, but its just very impressive. The first reaction was "what the heck is this!? a NEW DH bike for foes? whats wrong with the DHS Mono?" And then I saw the mono on the table across from it, its definatly miles ahead of their old Weasel and LTS models, that it replaces. |
| yep, that bike kicks my LTS' ass... | Keith Oct 5, 2001 11:46 AM | | I have the crappy old '98 LTS with a mono swingarm and its amazing to see how much foes has improved their designs. That bike looks damn schweet! |

| The Fly looks so sweet...as soon as I saw them I ordered... | go-ride.com Oct 5, 2001 4:30 PM | | a few also. The new DHS Mono seems reall sweet too and I plan on getting a couple of the new F1 Curnutt forks. I think this will be a very good year for Foes. They seem to have the sharpest new bike line of the smaller manufacturers. go-ride.com |
| Hey Pezzo, any idea on how much they weigh? | GspotRider Oct 5, 2001 6:18 PM | | Thanks. I love the look of this frame. |
| 9.5 pounds for the medium... | pezzo33 Oct 5, 2001 7:13 PM | | claimed weight of course, but the one I picked up seemed about that ans it ws a large. not too bad, and on par with Dh bikes and easily able to be sub-40 for freeride and urban..
pezzo33 |
| Wow, that's pretty light! | GspotRider Oct 5, 2001 8:44 PM | | Very comparable to my 2001 Dare...I think the Foes 'looks' much beefier for the same weight.
I am very tempted... |
