what thickness for chain guide(2 posts)

what thickness for chain guidebrokeasajoke

i have made a chain guide. it is out of street sign aluminum. it works well except it flexes way to much. what thickness is lets say a mrp or other chain guides. im talkin about the boomarange part. is 1/4 inch to thick? thanks for you sugestions.

...1/4" is a pretty good thickness, but anything over 3mm (around 1/8") and you have to recess the hole for the BB cup! Take a look at a Blackspire chainguide at some point.
