I just built up my SC as well.
What is your initial impression of the avalanche? I'm thinking of getting one.
I also noticed you installed it in the lower bolt mount.
Any specific reason why?
Thanks!

awsome rig! was goingto build one up the exact same way but could get a great deal on a 2002 Big Hit DH.

It'll have a 01 monster and an avalanche 9x3" shock resulting in 9 inches of travel! woohoo can't wait!

avalanche shocks are the best. however this is my first full suspension bike so my experience with fox, etc.. is limited. paying 100 more than a fox for something that is 100times better is worth it to me. no reason for the mounting.

Those two shock mounts are for progressive and a more linear stroke
