Hey Super Eight Owners(5 posts)

Hey Super Eight Owners[S]-[T]-[I]-[N]-[K]-[Y]

Well, I rode the piss out of my new 01 super 8.
I have a few questions.
-I have rather large calf musles from running, riding. When I land a big hit, the swing arm always nails me right on the side of my calf, leaving a nice bruise. I had to turn my right shinguard so that the plastic was covering the side of my leg. Has this happened to any of yahs? would a longer BB help?
-(for atom) Hey, we're both short, and we both do big hits, How do you have your super set up? what are all the little adjustments for, whats the best set up for urban/big hit?
-whats the ebst way about going and taking off those gay stickers?
-can i flip the shock around so i can change the compression w/o unbolting it?
-Whats the i2i?

i got my '00 Stinky travel plates done...5.5,6.5(x2 bb positions),7 and 8" rear travel of super sweet stink. Anyways i will be designing the '01 plates (gonna start this week) and will probably go to production as theres quite a bit of interest now (actually all i had to do is show up to the hill one day and props to the Pauls Cycle guys for the word). Anyways i'm hoping to at least get 7" out of the '01 plates and other adjustment stuff. Just lettin you know.

i forget...which year did you have?

the'00 year uses the stock shock for the 5.5/6.5(x2) travel settings (but heavier springs are needed), and a 8.75/2.75 for the 7and 8" settings (and also gets a nice progressive rate). The 6.5 settings either keep the stock geometry and add travel or steepen the head angle by jacking the rear end up (which is nice with say the Shiver i got :). The 7" jacks the rear end up (figured people would have long travel forks at this point) and the 8" uses the whole travel range.

The not yet finalised '01/02 design will probably get 7" max (i will design other settings). Whatever the max travel is it will most likely be accomadated for a 24" wheel (due to frame limitations) but i will do my best to make it very versatile (like max 26" wheel settings and whatever headtube angle adjustments i can do).

i hope to get a '01 frame in this week to start (probably take a day to get the design down). Anyways i'll try n post updates or send me an email so i can put you on my list.
