| think the new heckler would be good for slalom? | heck Nov 5, 2001 5:05 PM | | I was checkin it out, and it looks perfectly suited for slalom(light, 15" ST height, 5 inches in the rear) whatcha think? |
| Well... | Inclag Nov 5, 2001 9:39 PM | | ...If it's anything like the old Heckler (not the SL) it should rock. I still can't understand why they stopped making them. In my mind they were one of the best do anything bikes around and they hauled in slalom.

| SL is great for slalom -Pros rip it up on em. | really. Same thing Nov 6, 2001 1:07 PM | | The 5" Heckler looks weird to my eye. The SL weight limit thing
is mainly hype -they are strong and have better gussetting than the orig Heck. |
| No way are those SLs stock | DSR Nov 6, 2001 5:29 PM | | HOw could they be, SC doesn't reccommend anyone over 190 ride them for XC, let alone someone 180 riding it for slalom. The frames they use are either tricked out hecklers w/ different swingarms, or they make them custom for the pros. Don't quote me but that is what the facts point to.

| No way are those SLs stock | Garson Nov 6, 2001 6:48 PM | | Yes they are stock. The catch? The pros replace them every 2-3 races on relatively smooth courses because of what you're talking about. Definately not a privateer ds racing machine. |
