Drivetrain Help! PLEASE(3 posts)

Drivetrain Help! PLEASE$$
Nov 5, 2001 6:18 PM
My xt shifter and deraileur have both "lost"/broken barrel adjusters. So basically i have only a cable between the two. I cant adjust them to shift in ANY way. The shifter display is not moving when I try to shift. Is my drivetrain toast? what the hell sould i do? or should I take it into my lbs?

Just ask for new barrel shifters. Shouldn't cost too much. If it does...then you might as well be getting new shifters and derailleurs. How did you lose your barrel adjusters?
one problem...$$

It's not just the barel adj., it's basically the whole console that feeds the cable that's missing. It's kinda complicated, so I think I'll just bring it to my mechanix
