under suspensionupgrades
they have a kit for you
try also
http://www.betd.co.uk/
basically what you need is a new linkage plate
sometimes you can use the same shock but it will
be put under greater stress so you might blow the seals
more often.
those site have travel increases for other bikes so
good luck
Im thinking about purchasing the kit on DHDirect for my DBR V-10

"In 2000, we tried retrofitting the VPS1 linkage assembly & shock on a VPS 2, however, there was only about 1/2-3/4" more travel & the headtube angle steepened quite a bit. This also raised the bottom bracket height as well. This resulted in a unfavorable ride including the action of the shock which had a 'reverse-progressive' feel to it - meaning that the shock was initially hard to actuate & then became very soft as it went through it's travel."
Norco told me I could try to buy a kit or use one of their linkages if I were set on getting more travel. I have the 2001 Launch and this is what direct DH said about it:
"Basically I from what I can see I can't garauntee it wont hit something on
the frame....It's your call!!!
Launch wasn't sold here so I can't even check one out at a bike shop..."
Bet D does not make a link for the VPS. Rob said they don't get many out there.
I would just sell your frame and get a new longer travel VPS. THey are resonable priced.
Hope that helps.
