I put the helix pro [same thing as expert but with lockout] on my 4 -banger last spring to replace a rock shox super deluxe. It was the best thing Ive ever done for the bike. It bumped the rear travel up to 5.75 inches and it pedaled and rode way better than the old shock

I have a 98 model Helix Expert on my 98 DBR (4.5 inches of travel) V-10
-The positives-
First of all the air-coil combination gives very good tuning of the shock to your own personal needs which is great.
A lot of people dont like it here in austrlia because it has air they are like coil and oil is the only way to go
I have comparisson to the Rock Shocks delux on a 2001 AC 2 and even though that bike has more travel than mine the rear shock felt not as smooth as mine and was more bouncy.

Well the Helix feels like it has endless travel and progresses very nicely through out the whole stroke and can take decent size drops (up to 6ft flat landing) without a problem
I run my shock at 160 psi since im about 160lbs and this setup is perfect
When the shock does bottom out well the sound generated isnt the greatest like a decent thump but it survives it and keeps going with its job.
It is very smooth on high speed trials keeping the rear wheel tracking constantly

-The negatives-
Once the air seals blow (I have blown mine once in 2.5 years of riding which is pretty goo i think) your buggered it just not ridable cause you will bottom out just pumping the shock
I dont where your from but here in Australia the customer service for Stratos is absolutely appaling.
The shop which is licensed to replace the seals took literray 6 weeks to get the shock back to me and the put the wrong size bushings back in my shock resulting in me requiring to replace them and i snapped my bolt because of it.
Even when stratos are sending stuff directly from their factory takes a extremely long time and they dont reply to their emails which is also rule.

The Bottom Line
The shocks works great when it works you really cant get much better for that price and if the customer service is good in your area then definatly get the shock
However in my situation I would serioulsy consider getting another Startos Shock here in Australia because when it needs serviceing ill be of my bike for about 6 weeks.

Good Luck hope this has helped
