Should I buy this frame (CORTINA) Or a 24 le Toy III??(5 posts)

Should I buy this frame (CORTINA) Or a 24 le Toy III??Atomic

It's gonna be used for ds/dh/freeride/urban/general play bike, but also an occasional trail bike. Since the Cortina is 1.5lbs lighter in weight, looks very very strong, has the adjustable wheelbase like the Le Toy, and is a real beauty, and best of all 150$USD cheaper, I'm seriously considering it... Look at the pic. The direct link on the cortina site is http://www.cortinacycles.com/europaDS.html

Thanks all for letting me know what you think. Oh I forgot, if I use rim brakes at the rear, can I still adjust the wheelbase?? Thanks!
I'd go for CortinaBulldog

Looks solid, 1.5 pounds lighter is alot on a little hardtail and that's ok. How many of these little bikes actually break? Not many. I know no one posts pictures of them. My similarly styled bike frame weighs about 4.25 pounds, very light in comparison to most similar frames (usually 6-8 pounds). And no one has ever broken one of them either. Then take the $150 you save and buy a Hayes hydraulic or an Avid mechanical, then you won't have to worry about not having adjustable brake posts.

You might want to wait around for the Cortina Steel frame which is coming soon, or maybe even buy a Planet-X Bommer or JF from Unreal. I don't really like Le Toys personally.
Go for the Le Toy, they are indestructable!sirbikealot

they are both nice bikes but the Le toy looks way more pimp and has an excellent track record of NO broken frames in last three years
