Freeride/Urban in Bay Area(13 posts)

Freeride/Urban in Bay AreaMudanoman
Dec 9, 2001 5:43 PM
Hey,

Just got back to the Bay Area for winter break and want to do some riding. The weather is sorta crappy and wouldn't mind doing some urban freeriding instead of mashing up the trails. I remember last summer a bunch of you got together at SF, how is the urban there? Also do you guys know of any good place such as downtowns, school campuses? Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks,
Ivan

PS. Maybe we can get together another urban/freeride adventure over winter...dont mind bustin' some calories before the piggin' out begins...
Good to have you Ivan!Zonic Man

Pacifica again, it was sick. I might try to hook up a ride with Brian aka Chewy, or even go at it with just a few friends. It is a hike-a-bike, but one that is very worth it. Anyone is invited that wants to, great terrain but you have to work for it in some way.
very possibleJm

I am bringing my hardtail and DH bike on my car, arriving 12th or so. The 15th might be a great day to do some shuttling(will have a few days to settle in at that point).

I might be able to get a shuttle vehicle, dodge 4x4, not for sure though.
So you're in?Zonic Man

No doubt about doing pacifica....no doubt. Brian is helping steve move to his new pad on the 15th and 16th. Oh well.

But there is about 15 of us doing the other route up at auburn...should be a blast! E-me for details!

Oh, and I get out the same day as you....so I can ride over xmas break as well!
cool, I am going to try(more)Jm

but we got "christmas" and "family" stuff to do of course, I think the 15th should be clear. I can't say im in for sure at this point, but I am going to try, auburn is not too far from the placerville area, so its very doable. Probably around 80% sure at this point(parents like to spring up things at the last minute sometimes).
Sounds great....you got mail (nm)mudanoman

I live in the city and usually get in 3 or 4 urban sessions a week (usually late night due to work - 7 to midnight timeframe). On the weekends if I'm not skiing or working I'm usually off riding somewhere (zig-zag, pacifica, DMC, etc.). If you want to hit it up shoot me an email.

Speedball,

That sounds cool. I actually live pretty close to DMC so I go there here and there. I am not to familiar with zig-zag or pacific. How are those trails like? Are you going to the Auburn ride? If not what is email address? You can email me at mudanoman@hotmail.com or post a reply here. Peace.
