9 out of 10 downhillers can't be wrong(err, at least can't be wrong by a lot) |
| I have heard some bad things about those stems | [s]B Dec 10, 2001 3:44 PM | | I know at least three people who have pulled the threads out on theirs. Azonic gave them all a new stem but it's something to think about.

| thats called overtightening | Jm Dec 10, 2001 4:55 PM | | and my POS KHS stem was far worse than my azonic. By and large the azonic shorty is THE standard for DH.
Does that mean its the biggest ever? no. |
| KORE | urbanman Dec 9, 2001 7:44 PM | | The Kore B-52 stem is the shit. I have a 75mm one and it's stiff, stiff, stiff. Not only that it looks better than the shorty; that's opinion but the big blocky style can't be beat.(the azonic is cool in its own way, they're just different.) Thomson is coming out with a new 50mm and 70mm(I think) that should be pretty descent. I took the black "KORE" off my stem with degreaser to reveal the machining and it look very cool.
If you want a cheap, ok stem get the kore B1B. I they're like $25 and overbuilt.
Hope this might help

it's you!
hello gentleman.
sorry...couldn't resist. Well, for great justice, move zig. You know what you doing, take off every zig. And I've never heard anything bad about azonic stems except they can leave marks if you overtighten. I've heard racefaces are quite hard to tighten up. |

| Roox Commander | shockwaver Dec 11, 2001 9:37 PM | | I'm trying out a Roox Commander and so far so good. I got the 35mm model, and it can be moved up or down 20mm. Has 3 bolts holding it to the steerer, and is very stiff in my limited riding time on it.
Unique. |
