| 2-3 months? thats outrageous! | siko Dec 11, 2001 5:49 PM | | Waited 6 months for a frame after being told it will be 6 to 8 weeks and then was told i have to wait 2 to 4 weeks to get my money back. Now that is waiting |
| BullShit it is | urbanman Dec 11, 2001 7:45 PM | | If you are even remotely involved in the bike industry you know people don't get shit done on time. Small companies(i.e. the good ones) can't afford to produce tons of items for stock. At least they told him how long it might actually take, unlike most other companies who give you the run around for a couple of months. I ordered a Karpiel Disco Volante in July of this year and haven't seen it yet. I have had personal experience with the following companies not telling me the right date of arrival for a frame(by right date, I mean within two weeks of what they said)--Karpiel, Rocky Mountain, Ellsworth and Santa Cruz. And that's 4 of the 5 small companies I've dealt with(I know Rocky Mountain and Santa Cruz aren't small, but mid sized) So far Brooklyne Machine Works is the only one to tell the truth. They said 2 weeks and frames arrived in 2 weeks, more companies should follow in their footsteps. Props to them and their gigantic work force. |
