i'm a clydesdale, about 220 (before lunch)

but guess what, gravity want's me to get to the bottom of the mtn. before a featherweight!

and no!! rhino lites are not made for clydesdales, i snapped mine the first ride, literally snapped!! they suck!! maybe good freeride wheels for someone under 170lbs but not a clydesdale!

In the NW Clydes over a certain weight get a time advantage for each pound over the target weight. Say 30 seconds for every pound of heft over a mark (say 200lbs). Say two Clyde racers start at the same time......one rider is 20lbs heavier than the other. The heavier one will have to come in under ten minutes after the lighter Clyde to win.

Rhyno lites would be a good heavy guy XC rim. But most hefty riders don't just ride XC they like gravity......so they start to over ride the rhyno lites. I have been tempted to ride a XC race that was mostly flat to see how much an advantage I would have with my heft....just never enjoyed XC racing.....more pain than fun for me.

Hope this helps clarify things,

i actually wanted to use them as a freeride rim. i'm far from a clyde (130 lbs). i dunno if they'd be strong enough, esp. in the rear, but i can get a good deal on 'em. thanks for the info
