For those curious about the Azonic Eliminator frame...atomkinder

My buddy picked one up this past weekend from WheelWorld for $1099.00 The frame is a real looker. We took our sweet time transferring parts from his old Foes Weasel and had it almost ready-to-ride in less than 3 hours – it still needs the proper MRP kit. The fork fitted for this rig is a Stratos SuperStar (8" if plush travel). Once it was built up (sans cranks, pedals and MRP), we dialed-in the suspension to his liking. Man-o-man, can you adjust the hell out the geometry on this frame!
*3 adjustment/mounting spots for the Fox damper on the shock link
*5 adjustment/mounting spots for the shock link to the down tube
* 3 wheelbase adjustments
* and possibly 2 adjustment/mounting spots for the swing arm to the down tube – just above the bottom bracket.

Amazing stuff for under $1,200.00 –The swing arm is a virtual copy of the Intense M1 and feels just as plush (I suddenly got this sinking feeling when I though about how much dough I plunked down for my used 2000 M1). I must admit that I dig the appearance of the Azonic frame more than the M1 – maybe it has something to do with the subconscious advertisement of the Azonic logo in the frame tubing (turn the frame upside down and you'll see what I mean).
Stuff you expect for under $1,200.00 – The paint will most likely be shot after a couple of rides – it is very fragile. Finding a new seat post to fit the 31.6 mm seat tube was not fun – the only match is a monstrous GT chro-moly BMX tube (a shim-sleeve is too Mickey Mouse).

Obviously, he has yet to ride the thing but we plan to have the thing completed by this coming weekend – damn 8-5 corporate world always "cramps our style".

Anyway – more to come as soon as the rig is complete (maybe a couple of digital photos too)

I must have ordered mine too early, 3 and half months ago..there were no deals then....plus extra for Avalance shock..and extra for paint job...My frame should be comming back from the powder coat people anyday now,,then I will build it up...Unless I decide to paint my new Boxxers...I hate to ruin a shinning red paint job, but it wont' go with my frame, which will be blue and green.....

No Azonic stickers on my bike,,that is the devil sign, he he he

Just wondering if you have set up the rear brake yet. I heard that they didn't attach the caliper mount to the adjustable dropout, hence there is only one adjustment for the rear wheel. Don't feel sad about plunking down money for an M1, that's the pinnacle of what all DH bikes should be. Fully built your M1 will toast that $1000 wannabe adjustable DH bike.
