Hey, this frame seems too good to be true at $99. IS anyone out there using it successfully for free-riding? Any bad stories? Please let me know!
Thanks!

I believe that frame is just an upgrade from an entry-level steel XC frame....It may look strong but i would bet it's not...Go with a used good frame...Azonic DS-1 or DS-2 ...P3 ---Bruiser-----or something Proven....

Dude you answered your own question with "this frame is only $99 dollars, is this to good to be true". A $99 dollar frame for freeriding equals mucho medical bills. Look for a good used frame or get it and upgrade your medical insurance. Either way you will pay.
I used to have one...5150

it's a pretty nice quality frame. But only for XC. It's kinda flexy.

a lightweight friend of mine is using one for dual slalom and it works fine. he is, however, only about 130 pounds so if your a bigger guy like me then it's questionable for freeriding. a good playbike though.

I've got a friend that is beating the crap out of his and it is fine. Get the 14 if you can it is a lot stiffer than the rest.
