I am looking at a Balfa 2Step and don't know much about it. How does the suspesion design work for technical trailriding (both up and down), and how does it handle drops and other freeride type stuff. I would also like to know the cost of the frame if anyone knows.

I just ordered mine and I should get it this week.

Here's what I know:
- The suspension design is very good on this bike. It seems that you don't feel that you have 6" of rear travel when you climb, it climbs very well. Balfa is a company that knows how to design a good FS frame. Their BB7 is well known for being a great pedaller...and the 2Step is supposed to be the same.

- The rear travel is rather linear (a bit rising from what very trustable peoples told me)

- It is a very solid frame (Alu front, 4130 cromo rear), it accepts double crowns fork without a problem. So it's designed to handle drops and hard riding. But if you want a huck bike, you should check the BB7 instead.

- You can put a front derailleur on the 2Step if you want.

Here's a brief ride report and some pics of a 2Step:

The msrp in canada is 1600 CDN...and unrealcycles has them for 1325 USD

I can't wait to get mine. It will have a Jr-T up front.
