| my backyard... | airwreck Jan 29, 2002 6:19 PM | | check out my passion post titled Kudos to the Motorcycles http://forums13.consumerreview.com/crforum?14@@.eeab9d0 More specifically, if you are looking for some interesting lines and drops you will see plenty of possibilities as you drive around. Rumour has it that near Lahaina someone has built some stunts in an area that is also popular for motorcycle trail riding. Haven't scoped it out myself as it is the other side of the island, but I will join you if you are interested in checking it out. Lots of other possibilities waiting to be explored but rain can be a problem. It poured big time today all over the island, but usually Lahaina side is dry. Come prepared for pedaling/climbing. Anyway, freeriding is all about riding where ever you please, so keep in mind that although their may not be much of scene, that doesn't mean there are not possibilties. Keep in touch and I can give you more info and hopefully join you for some exploring. If it dries out my area in Haiku, North Shore, can be interesting. Actually it doesn't need to dry out, just have to be in the right frame of mind. Eric ehendren@maui.net |
