| Bullits with Avalanche shocks | Groundskeeper Willie Dec 10, 2003 1:02 PM | | anyone have some photos of their Bullits with Avalanche shock?
I'm debating whether to buy one myself.
For all the wise guys (who think they are funny)...even though you're not....It's trans red. |
| only fits the rootbeer model........ | WestCoastHucker Dec 10, 2003 1:09 PM | | you will need to fab an adapter to fit the trans red......
but after that, you will be able to run a 26x3.0 tire with mad clearance... |
| you're so lame... everyone knows you can't run a 26x3.0... | binary visions Dec 10, 2003 1:17 PM | | ...unless you have green doublewides.
Incidentally, the adapter for the trans red model also works for the trans gold, and it gives you 28.367" of travel and a 41 degree headangle. |
| It will only work on the 00 &01 model trans gold bullits..... | Nate N Dec 10, 2003 1:40 PM | | anything older or newer than than doesn't have the correct reflective properties on the "Santa Cruz" logo and therefore cannot adapt.
C'mon dude, why do you say that, you know it's 40.889 degree head angle, why you gotta be roundin shit off like that? You not quoting exact angles can fuck with the extremeness of a 5.34" curb drop man, get it right. |
| Gold started in '02.5 not before | Anonymous Bosch Dec 10, 2003 2:52 PM | | I should know I'm stuck with trans Gold Bullit #23 |
| re: Bullits with Avalanche shocks | darkage Dec 10, 2003 1:35 PM | | I don't have a picture, but I've got a DHS 3 (3" stroke / 8" travel) on my 2002.5 Bullit. With the 3" stroke shock you've gotta drill out the forward mounting holes on your frame, with a 2.75" stroke shock I think you can still use the "shuttle". Avalanche makes the best DH shock available - sucks up high and low speed hits, sticks the wheel to the ground, you can still "spring" off the face of jumps (unlike the 5th Element) and it's virtually indestructable. Don't debate - buy one. |
| re: Bullits with Avalanche shocks | Groundskeeper Willie Dec 10, 2003 5:39 PM | | thanks to Darkage for some useful info. I appreciate it. I hope someone will have some photos as well.
It appears that 20% of the time you can get some meaning out of a Bullit post. 80% of the feedback is comedy relief at best.
By the way...I lied....
Scooby Doo Yellow....not Trans Red!! ha ha ha!
Now you'll have to re-think all of your previous posts! |
