hey guys i have a bmx question. which bike do you think i should trade my 01 monster t for?
03 haro backtrail x4- 20.65 top tube
03 eastern bikes ace of spades- 20.0 tt
02 eastern bikes ace of spades- 20.5 tt

all three bikes are brand new, and i am 5 foot 8.
do you think it's worth it?mosplat

what year is your monster t?
how much do you think you could sell it for?
well, I guess if it's older than it's equal to a bmx bike..

what kind of riding do you intend on doing?
the 20inch tt ace of spades is most probably too short for you.
if you're gonna ride mostly street, a 20.5 is probably best.
if you're gonna ride trails/dirt jumps then go for the 20.65.

thanks. i am gonna dirt jump the bmx. its a 2001 monster thats is kinda out of place on my 01 stab. i have a 04 z150 now and think that fork would work better on a 6 inch travel frame. i rarely use my monsters full travel anyway. plus i do not think that i will sell the monster for more than the high three hundy range. the 20.65 tt haro x4 is a killer ride from what i hear so far.
yeah haro's are great bmx bikes.mosplat

from the original gangster bmx maker.
well that sounds good then,
if you don't need the monster t
and could only sell it for that much.
cool with the bmx,
they're a great change of pace from big bikes
and a good way to practice technique.
have fun with it. =)
bmx will improve my technique.....dream4est

plus if i start outriding my 6x6 bikes ability i can get a new dh bike next year. the z150 is more my style. i jump big stuff, drop medium stuff and like slow, techy north shore stuff. i land light so the monster just laughs at me usually (and only pushes 150mm of travel or so). plus i feel the z150 will handle 15 foot drops to proper tranny anyway. monsters steer kinda funny anyway. if next year i go to virgin utah and huck big then i will just get a new bike. mainly im afraid the monster will ruin my kona stab and crack my 3d front end. plus bmx djing is off the hook lately.
mark, nothing shorter than a 21" TT or you will be :(........WestCoastHucker

you aren't the little boy you once were. mine is a 21.5" and i wouldn't dream of riding a storter bike.

I have several new or great condition BMX bikes, and I have a whole bunch of top quality parts i'd be willing to trade for your monster. Email me at RFXR@sbcglobal.net I bet you i could build you something you'd like.

what are the tt lengths on those frames you mentioned in the email? also, are they aluminum frames or chromoly?

westcoasthucker thanks for the info. i agree that 20.5 tt range is short. apparently a lot of great bmx guys, like dave mirra, ride 20.5's. but i like roomy bikes and i should just go try some at the lbs sot see for myself.
