I have an older frame that I stripped the paint off and I am thinking about just polishing it, it's aluminum any hints to save time from any of yall thats done a polish on aluminum (like grit of sand paper or compound types) would be appreciated alot.
this is my winter project for my older heckler thats been in parts for the last few years!
thanks for any advice,

if you stripped the paint off w/ a chemical stripper , wet sand with 1200/1400 , then use brandy new brillo pads (with that blue soapy crap in 'em)scrub the frame down in one direction try to make straight marks long ways with the tubing *this will save you some serious elbow grease! 3M super duty rubbing compound works well to remove those marks left by the brillo & wet sanding , the brilo pad marks can easily be removed with a quality liquid jewelers rouge or good aluminum polish if you steel wool long enough you can skip the rubbing compound and go straight for the fine polish -when you get it to where you think its shiny enough -wash with dish soap scrub the crud outta the welds then try never dull (it evens out the shine nice)
