Hey, my AC-1 is finally getting near completion all it needs is forks, so here are some pics. But before i get asked these questions the 8" rotor is on the rear because manitou says that a quick release fork can't handle the stress, and i dont think i will be able to make a mount strong enough with out putting a fair bit of effort in shaping it properly. It will get changed over when i get new forks. And yes I am running cheap tyres. They cost $25 AU each, and are 8 months old and i swear that the rubber is that hard they havent worn, the grip well so I cant be bothered spending the money on expensive tyres that last 6 months.

Man, these blooding things dont stop cracking. My dads friend is an aircraft welder so i got him to put these things in, but they still seem to give way. I think i found the problem in loose pivots though, so any other ac riders should check the pivots b4 they ride.

I couldnt be botherd paying extra for a stem that was the same quality but with a brand name. I tried that with some bars, but i snapped the amoebas in half.

The brakes are basically hayes calipers with levers that are similar to maguras. These are the same with different logos. Dice Whiplash brakes.
Also check out Dirtworks Australia
I don't agree that they are more powerful than hayes because they don't offer any advantage over hayes. They use identical calipers. Maybe the only advantage is the stiffer levers and the extremely cheap price.

If you need more info about them... just let me know.

run that 8" rotor dude...BigMike

...i've run the exact same fork on my Azonic Evo2 w/ an 8" rotor for quite a while - i've had no problems at all. i'm pretty sure i used an adapter that was for 8" rotor manitou w/ no modifications needed...
