Do hayes brake pads work in avid disc brakes? I currently have avid disc brakes but I have the opportunity to get some hayes pads for really cheap. I heard some where that hayes and avid pads are interchangeable. Anyone know if this is true?

ACTUALLY YES, THIS SETUP WILL WORK. ACUALLY I HAVE FOUND I LIKE THE POWER OF THE AVID BRAKES BUT HAVE FOUND THE PADS TO SUCK ASS. THIS IS WHY I PICKED UP A SET OF HAYES PADS AT MY LBS. THEY SEEM TO FIT PRETTY WELL. THE ONLY THING I WOULD SUGGEST IS TO PUT A LITTLE HOT-GLUE OR SHOE-GOO ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE PAD. THIS SEEMED TO HOLD THEM IN REALLY GOOD. NOW I CAN ENJOY THE CHEAPNESS OF THE AVIDS WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF HAYES. YES YOU HAVE HEARD RIGHT. THIS WILL MAKE YOU BIKE MUCH BETTER !
